About Me

Welcome!

This blog is devoted to traveling and good food from the perspective of someone who is using a wheelchair. I am 30 years old and I was born with a ‘endearing’ condition called Spinal Muscular Atrophy that took a lot of things from me but did not prevent me from becoming a graduated IT engineer and a passionate lover of good food, traveler and chess player and my games are my zen.

I like to explore countries, places, restaurants at my own rhythm with great preparation and organization, collecting information and exploring because traveling in a wheelchair is not a picnic. Serbia is my country and I love it, but it’s not the best place to roll around in a wheelchair. I want this blog to change something with your help. only a little good will is needed.

At this blog you will not find me bungee jumping, swimming with sharks or jumping with a parachute, adrenaline and I haven’t been friends since my birth but on this blog you can find stories about slow adventures, slow food as well as some stories about thrice damned stairs or a broken elevator or some unavailable lookout that can ruin your day. That is why I try to look only at what I can do.

Unfortunately in Serbia there are more places I can not go than those I can, so I will try to draw attention to some of them. Maybe something will change.

I hope you enjoy this as much as I do!

I’m Marko, a IT engineer, a chess player, a blogger and I love Serbia!

Come on, let’s go!
